Questions about consulting

How does payment work?+

Payment of $150 is collected securely at the time of booking via Stripe. Your appointment is only confirmed once payment is complete — no payment, no booking.

How does the session take place?+

Sessions are conducted via video call (Zoom or Google Meet). You’ll receive a link in your confirmation email. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet space for the hour.

What should I prepare before the session?+

The more context you can give, the better. Think about your land size, soil type, what biomass you have available, what you’re hoping to grow or restore, and any specific challenges you’re facing. Photos of your land and any soil test results are very helpful.

Can I get a refund if I need to reschedule?+

Yes — if you reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment, your payment will be carried over to the new session. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

What if I need more than one hour?+

Many clients book multiple sessions, especially for larger projects. You’re welcome to book follow-up sessions at the same rate. For larger ongoing consulting projects, contact Kelpie directly to discuss a project rate.

Do you offer consulting for commercial or government projects?+

Yes — Kelpie has extensive experience consulting for government agencies, forestry contractors, municipalities and commercial farming operations. For larger projects, contact her directly to discuss scope and pricing.
